Page 1 of 2 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY.    It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the  Government to award a contract.  Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response.  Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing.  The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses interested and capable of providing the requested commodities. This acquisition implements a 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs). The NAICS Code is 339114; size standard is 750 employees. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name    b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Cage Code   (g) Tax ID Number (h) and must    provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability  to perform as a contractor and provide the commodities described below.         Upgrade to Sirona Orthophos XG Xray to Galileos Comfort Plus Package (3D Cone Beam CT) Brand Name or Equal GALILEOS (SIRONA) COMFORT PACKAGE Item # Description/Part Number/Service* QTY UNIT PRICE TOTAL PRICE 1 Comfort Plus Package Cat # 100004601 1 2 Installation, Network Assist and training Cat# 6149962 1 3 Move, Reinstall and Calibrate Cat# 6149962 1 4 Install and Training 1 Upgrade to current Sirona Orthophos XG Xray to Galileos (Sirona) Comfort Plus Package. The Galileos Package will display the entire maxillofacial region as opposed to just the mandible or maxilla. The Sirona ORTHOPHOS XG Xray system will need to be disassembled and the components transferred to the second floor, i.e. rotating unit, x-ray tubehead and electronics exchanged. The new Galileos Comfort Plus Package components will need to be installed on the first floor. This will entail adding the Galileos module and sensor flat panel, new x-ray tubehead installed, electronic boards exchanged, covers will need to be replaced, new software added and system calibrated. All working components will need to be tested and a complete system calibration for the first and second floor. Train staff on the new Galileos functions, i.e. display functions, field of view selections, patient positioning and dose settings. 3D software, implant planning software and navigation of the 3D image will need to be reviewed. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.   Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM located on the web at www.sam.gov). It is desirable that any Offeror to have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.   Requests for information and resultant responses shall be submitted directly to the Contracting Officer, Arlene A. Blade at arlene.blade@va.gov. NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. All submissions should be received no later than 4:00 pm Central Standard Time on August 7, 2017.
