Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)/Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS)/Wildlife Services (WS) in Sandusky, OH intends to award a sole source, Purchase Order to Microwave Telemetry Inc, DUNS: 786793075 CAGE Code: 0ZV14 for Satellite telemetry equipment to be used in studies of Coopers hawks. The following items will be purchased: Item#1 Qty. of 5 - Argos 9.5-gram solar powered PTT-100 Transmitter specifications: Dimensions: L 38 mm x W 17 mm x H 12 mm Weight: 9.5 grams Antenna: Hard nylon coated flexible stranded marine grade stainless steel, 213 mm long, protruding from the back edge of the transmitter 45 degrees to the bottom face. Construction: Lightweight glass-reinforced epoxy composite material, plated on the inside with a continuous metal coating. The final seal is a metal-to-metal solder. Hermetically sealed to deter the effects of changes in temperature and humidity. Sensors: Must come complete with sensors to measure temperature, its own battery voltage, and animal activity, with each parameter relayed by Argos on each transmission. General Electrical Specifications: Operating frequency: 401.650 MHz ± 36 kHz Power output: 200mW output is standard Output impedance: 50 ohms Modulation Tri Phase PSK: ± 1.1 Rad ± 0.1 Rad Quiescent current: <3μA Spurious emissions: -45 dB Transmission interval: 45 to 120 sec Supply voltage: 3.6 - 4 volts Operating temperature range: -15 to 45 Deg C Item#2 Qty. of 5 - Argos 12-gram solar powered PTT-100 Transmitter specifications: Dimensions: L 64 mm x W 18 mm x H 14 mm Weight: 12 grams Antenna: Hard nylon coated flexible stranded marine grade stainless steel, 213 mm long, protruding from the back edge of the transmitter 45 degrees to the bottom face. Microwave Telemetry, Inc. is currently the only known manufacturer that makes this type of solar powered unit with greater than 1 year of battery life, with the ability to capture and store location information multiple times per day, allows data transfer via a satellite network, and is small enough (< 13 g) to attach to Coopers Hawks. Data have been collected in previous years using identical tags. It is imperative that they use these same units to ensure scientific integrity between the years. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products pricing and specifications, as well as three (3) references from other customers who are using these products, to the Contracting Officer by 4:00pm. Mountain Time (MT) on or before the closing date of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334511 ( Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing), and the Small business size standard is 1,250 Employees. Responses received after the response date or without the required information will be deemed nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered.
