- Sources Sought for 12-channel Balance for Calibrating Multi-channel Pipettes This SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to determine the interest in the below requirement This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government, nor will the U.S. Government pay for information solicited. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. The USDA, APHIS, NVSL is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified businesses capable of providing the following: 12-channel Balance for Calibrating Multi-channel Pipettes Special Features: 12 Channel simultaneous operation on a system that includes a standard laptop and 12-channel aspiration device; removable weighing tubes with spacing and volume of 9 mm and 12 ml, respectively. Bench Top Footprint: Maximum dimensions of 36"L x 40"W x 48"H Operating Voltage 120 VAC/60 Hz Nominal Pipette Volumes: 10 μl - 1.2 ml Linearity:<0.03 mg Repeatability:< 0.02 mg Resolution:0.01 mg Maximum permissible error (k=1): < 0.02 mg (in the range of 0 -1.2 g | 0 -1,200 μl) Sensitivity to temperature drift: < ± 1 + 10-6 K between +10°C and +30°C Compliant with ISO 8655-6:2002 Specifications: The gravimetric determination of errors of measurement for conformity testing of piston-operated volumetric apparatus. The tests are applicable to complete systems comprising the basic apparatus and all parts selected for use with the apparatus, disposable or reusable, involved in the measurement by uptake (In) or delivery (Ex) process. All responding firms are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business to the anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code.
