- The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central, JBSA, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is seeking potential sources to provide Cornea Implant items. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing, FSC - 6515, Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment and Supplies, with a corresponding size standard of 750 employees. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expense associated with preparation or participation in this research. Interested parties should e-mail responses to robin.m.castro.civ@mail.mil by the date identified below. This is a sources sought and is not a solicitation. This sources sought is requested for informational purposes only. The purpose of this sources sought is to identify qualified sources prior to the release of any potential solicitation for the purchase of the following Cornea Implant items: Description Item Number Quantity CORNEA REQUEST CORNEA 6 BANKED WHOLE SCLERA REQUEST WHOLE SCLERA 5 CORNEA PRECUT DSAEK REQUEST CORNEAPRECUT 18 CORNEA STERILE PATCH GRAFT C0301AL90 21 KERATOPLASTY, PENETRATING PKP 8 *Note: Quantities listed are estimates based on historical usage. Actual quantities will be reflected in a solicitation once issued. In addition to the information listed above, the following are the salient characteristics for the required Surgical, Pharmaceutical, and Vision Care Products. A. The following are the salient characteristics for Surgical Vision care products. B. All surgical products must be FDA approved and TAA compliant. C. Must be able to provide technologies and devises for corneal surgery/corneal transplantation. D. Offers a network that gives surgeons access to large volume safe, high quality ocular tissue for transplant and research. E. Must meet industry benchmarks for quality assurance testing as a member of the Eye Bank Association of America. F. Must be able to offer precision precutting of corneas. G. Must be able to provide donor tissue on time. H. Shall process for DSAEK, Ultra-thin DSAEK, IEK, DMEK, and ALK specifications The ordering period will not exceed 1 year. Any interested source that can meet this requirement is invited to submit a written qualification package. The written qualification package must include the following information: 1) contractor name and phone number, 2) a brief statement detailing capabilities to provide these items, 3) a list of names and phone numbers of references to whom you have provided these items for, and 4) type of business: i.e. large, small, and identify any socio-economic classification, and 5) state whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Interested sources are requested to submit a package by 11 August 2017, no later than 12:00 P.M. CST. All information received in response to this announcement marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government. Availability of any formal solicitation will be announced separately. This sources sought announcement is requested for informational purposes only. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this sources sought and submittals will not be returned to the sender.
