- 21st Contracting Squadron, Peterson AFB, CO intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis on or about 30 September 2017 to L.N. Curtis & Sons in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The 721st Civil Engineering Squadron, Fire Department at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station, CO has a sole source requirement for an EagleAir® Model HA20N3C4E-GS25 Harrier CFS single-axle trailer mounted breathing air compressor system. The Fire Department presently has a stationary EagleAir® Blackhawk compressor unit. They are requesting the mobile compressor be an EagleAir® Harrier because the parts can be interchanged between both units to provide an emergency source for either machine to ensure redundancy for this life support equipment. Both compressors have the same air filling controls, CO and moisture monitoring systems, and air-assist cylinder loading systems which will reduce the amount of time 40 firefighters have to familiarize themselves on operation of new equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 333912 with the size standard of 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit technical capabilities, which, if received within three calendar days of publication of this notice, shall be considered by 21 st Contracting Squadron.
