- 28-SMALL BUSINESS INDUSTRY DAY-T64 PERFORMANCE BASED SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SUPPORT This notice is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This announcement is neither a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does it constitute a guarantee or otherwise commit the Government, in any way, to solicit or award a contract now or in the future. SPE4A2-17-R0022 is the planned solicitation number and is being used for notice identification; however, no solicitation is available at this time. DLA Aviation intends to bundle approximately 869 National Stock Numbers (NSNs) into a procurement for T64 Engine performance based supply chain management support. This holistic project is expected to be a single contract action with General Electric Aviation (GE). This population of items meets the definition on bundling at FAR 2.101, and is likely to be unsuitable for award to a small business due to the diversity, size, or specialized nature of the elements of the performance specified. The purpose of this notice is to invite interested parties to attend a Small Business Industry Day hosted by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation. The Small Business Industry Day presentation will explain the Government's rationale for this holistic project and to highlight how small businesses can become qualified suppliers to GE. GE will provide a briefing that will cover their commitment to small business, what it is looking for in a supplier, small business NAICS codes, supplier-teaming resources, and the steps for supplier qualification. The Small Business Industry Day will be held at DLA Aviation (Defense Supply Center of Richmond), DDRV Conference Room, located at 8000 Jefferson Davis Highway, Richmond, Virginia 23297 on 24th August 2017, 0900 - 1200, Eastern Standard Time (EST). A conference line will also be available for those individuals unable to attend in person. Pre-registration for in person or conference line attendance is REQUIRED. This is a no-fee event. Additional event details, including directions and conference line access will be provided once attendance is confirmed. Questions relative to this Small Business Industry Day should be addressed to the Program Manager, Mr. Stephen Minus, at Stephen.Minus@dla.mil and Mr. Ryan Finan at Ryan.Finan@dla.mil. Companies are required to e-mail Mr. Minus and Mr. Finan no later than 1600 EST on 21st August 2017 with the following pre-registration information: (1) Company Name (2) Full Name(s) of employees/representatives attending the Small Business Industry Day and (3) Cellular phone number(s). Call-in participants will provide only Company Name and Attendee name(s). Hard copy of the presentation materials will not be provided at the Small Business Industry Day, but will be posted to the FBO website by close of business on 21st August 2017. Please submit questions in advance to Mr. Minus and Mr. Finan no later than 1600 EST on 21st August 2017 via e-mail. As DLA Aviation will not be holding one-on-one sessions, business-sensitive/proprietary questions will be addressed off-line by DLA. Please mark business sensitive/proprietary questions appropriately. Presentations and questions/answers will be posted on the FBO website following event completion.
