- SLAC RFP No. IDIQ-CR-2017 SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory provides the attached Request for Proposal for an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinte Quantity Agreement for Crane and Rigging Services (Davis-Bacon Act) to support lab-wide operations. This project will include but may not be limited to the following work activities: a. Rigging various pieces of electrical, mechanical and scientific equipment. b. Moving, securing and placing various pieces of electrical, mechanical and scientific equipment throughout areas of SLAC. c. Provide and operate various pieces of equipment, rigging hardware and slings, cranes, trucks, and forklifts. d. Working with and around other SLAC subcontractors and equipment and operators to place, remove, store, or relocate various materials, such as electrical, mechanical and scientific equipment. e. Provide material and equipment relocation services across the SLAC campus to various locations as directed in the task order release. f. Provide crane and rigging services in support of equipment installation and construction projects. Equipment to be offloaded, transported, and placed in its final location for installation includes sensitive scientific equipment, large industrial equipment, building equipment and other equipment. Work locations include sensitive scientific spaces, congested spaces, tunnels, building, roofs, equipment pads, etc. g. Comply with all Davis-Bacon requirements for all work performed under this IDIQ contract. The Agreement is planned for a term of three years (with two one year options for a total of five years) and the total value of requirements will not exceed $5,000,000. A proposal is due to the attention of the SLAC Procurement Specialist no later than August 18, 2017. Please refer to the attached Request for Proposal.
