- Page 1 of 1 This is a sources sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of current market conditions relative to NAICS 561320 with a size standard $27.5 Million. The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), Network Contracting Office 23 (NCO 23), on behalf of Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVACHS), Minneapolis, MN is seeking to identify any vendor capable of to provide Anesthesiology Physician Services. The proposed contract vehicle will be for a period of one year. GENERAL: Services Provided: The Contractor(s) shall provide the Minneapolis VA Healthcare System (MVACHS) contractual services of up to two (2.0) full-time board-certified Anesthesiologist(s) to perform clinical anesthesiology services on-site, in accordance with the specifications contained herein, to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Minneapolis VAHCS. (Multiple contract awards will be considered.) Scope of Services to be Provided: Anesthesiologists shall provide direct patient care for the full range of anesthesiology services for operative procedures including: pre-procedure assessment with review of patient s electronic medical record and focused physical exam; administration of anesthetic agents; performance of trans-esophageal echocardiography (TEE) in cardiac cases; insertion of invasive hemodynamic monitoring catheters with ultrasound guidance; management of difficult airways using alternative intubating devices and advanced techniques in both emergent and non-emergent situations; administration of multi-modal pre-emptive analgesics; placement of nerve blocks, including interscalene blocks for post-operative pain control; intra-procedure monitoring and management; and post-procedure follow-up as appropriate for both inpatients and outpatients. Anesthesiologists may personally administer anesthesia or may medically direct CRNAs or anesthesiology residents in the administration of anesthesia. Period of Performance: 12-month period, from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018 Responses to these sources sought must include the following information. 1.
