- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a delivery order under the Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-17-G-0014 for a 12-month base period to Elbit Systems of America (ESA) on a sole-source basis for the demonstration of their Degraded Visual Environment (DVE) product in an AFSOC aircraft at Hurlburt Field, Florida. This is a follow-up to the November 2016 demonstration of that capability in the AFSOC simulator at Hurlburt, Florida. This will involve providing copies for the results of formal qualification testing already performed, conducting Hardware/Software Integration (HSI) testing, setting up the aircraft, and supporting demonstration flights. ESA is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the DVE product to be demonstrated and is the only known source that possesses the requisite knowledge and expertise required to perform this effort. Also, ESA is the only source that possesses the totality of engineering and technical data required to perform these efforts.
