- Page 1 of 2 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA250-17-Q-0741 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-94 & 2005-95. The associated NAICS code is 339112 Medical equipment and small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Requirement: Description Part # Qty Price Sit-On Comfort, M 293051 85 Sit-On Comfort, L 293061 117 Sit-On Comfort, XL 293071 124 Stiffener, 800 mm 284404 26 Characteristics: The slings must be made of spacer fabric, which is defined as two separate fabric faces knitted independently and then connected by a separate spacer yarn. The slings must have a seamless or continuous fabric design eliminating potential pressure points from seams or stitching. The slings must be able to be left under the patient for prolonged lengths of time without increasing the risk of pressure ulcers. The slings need to be in varied sizes, as listed above, to safely meet the needs of a varied patient population. Due to a shift in expanding Safe Patient Handing equipment for the bariatric patient, slings must have up to a #560 weight capacity. The slings must be launderable between patient use, which meets our GEMS initiative to be more environmentally friendly, avoiding disposables. All of the above slings must have at minimum of ¾ alpha lettering to determine size and not rely on color coding or color coding and alpha lettering less than ¾ in size. All slings must be compatible with Guldmann ceiling lifts. All slings must have a minimum of 2 year warranty less normal wear and tear. Staff education must be provided as part of the purchase. The Contractor shall deliver the following items, FOB Destination.
