- SUNGARD PUBLIC SECTOR SOFTWARE YEARLY UPDATE LE, OBX THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. SUBJECT: Sungard Public Sector mobile data terminal systems The National Park Service intends to solicit a proposal and enter into a contract with Sungard Public Sector 1000 Business Center Drive Lake Mary, FL 32746 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Intent of the NPS is to establish a purchase order using firm fixed prices to Cape Hatteras National Seashore (CAHA) and Dare County Communications, along with law enforcement and emergency service organizations, all parties worked side by side to ensure the protection of the residences and visitors to the Outer Banks. The mobile data terminal systems are utilized by law enforcement officers (LEOs) throughout Dare and Hyde County. These systems are critical to LEOs and dispatchers to identify, locate and receive information about potential criminals across the county, state and country. CAHA LEOs are tied in with Dare County Communications receiving free dispatch services. Dare County Communications choose Sungard Public Sector to provide software updates to all LEOs and emergency service agencies. The required services are to receive software updates for mobile data terminal systems. This is a one-time update. The government shall ensure that their equipment is serviceable and has the ability to receive the updates. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Determination not to compete this proposed procurement was based on Sungard Public Sector being the only provider that Dare and Hyde County Law Enforcement have an existing/current contract with for these services. No contract award will be made on this basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice; however any firm that believes they have capabilities to provide this service may give written notification to the Contracting Officer at ryan_pike@nps.gov. All comments received before 4:30 pm ET August 18, 2017 will be considered All information submitted should support the offeror ¿s capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror ¿s bona fide capability to provide these services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. The Government reserves the right to cancel the Sole Source Award. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 511210, SOFTWARE PUBLISHERS, Small Business Size Standard $38.5 million in annual sales.
