- (Intent to Purchase on Sole-Source Basis) FROM: Jennifer K. Thomas/AFMC 410 SCMS/GULA TO: DLA Aviation Procurement Operations at Warner Robins (SPRWA1) LOCATION: Robins AFB, GA 31098-1813 FBO Post Title: Request for Interested Manufacturers of NSNs 5998-01-215-1755 (Circuit Card Assembly) and 5998-01-215-2818 (Circuit Card Assembly). SUBJECT: Market research is being conducted to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for qualification and production of NSNs 5998-01-215-1755 (Circuit Card Assembly) and 5998-01-215-2818 (Circuit Card Assembly) for the B-1B aircraft. ITEM DESCRIPTION NSN 5998-01-215-1755 is a Circuit Card Assembly provides a source phase and amplitude controlled reference frequency for use by IATE station resources. NSN is 5998-01-215-2818 Circuit Card Assembly sends and receives RF signals, clock signals and digital pulse trains from a UUT. IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION The original equipment manufacturer for 5998-01-215-1755 is a Circuit Card is BAE Systems Inc. (CAGE 12436), which maintains its configuration by part number and software version. The Government does not own any data, drawings, schematics, or any other releasable technical data in support of this requirement. As a result, BAE Systems Inc. is the only known source with adequate knowledge of the NSN performance requirements and possession of the required technical data and capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment. The original equipment manufacturer for NSN is 5998-01-215-2818 (Circuit Card Assembly is BAE Systems Inc. (CAGE 12436), which maintains its configuration by part number and software version. INTEREST The DLA/AWB Contracting Office intends to award a sole source contract to BAE Systems Inc. for the manufacture of NSNs 5998-01-215-1755 (Circuit Card Assembly) and 5998-01-215-2818 (Circuit Card Assembly. Other interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 23 August to Jennifer Thomas at jennifer.thomas.1@us.af.mil and/or dla.dlr.proc@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure these items using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
