Description
Updated UNRESTRICTED Solicitation The Wisconsin Air National Guard located in Madison WI intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to Repair Fire Suppression at the 115th Fighter Wing, Madison WI. The solicitation number for this project is W912J2-16-B-1001. Repair Fire Suppression includes repairing aircraft hangars B400, B406 & B412 equipped with High Expansion Foam (HEF) and B414 equipped with Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) fire suppression systems. The primary intent and purpose for this project is to effect repairs that will prevent inadvertent discharges of hangar fire suppression systems at Truax Field, Madison Wisconsin. The work consists of three main categories: (1) Remove, Replace and Relocate the manual foam releasing stations and conduits. Incidental work related to this part includes electrical work and Fire Alarm (FA) pull station work as shown on the drawings; (2) Evaluate the foam releasing cross connection sequencing and effect repairs for proper function (not shown on drawings); (3) Install (SPD) Surge Protection Devices (not shown on drawings). There is one option to include repair of the Fire Suppression Sprinkler and alarm system over the DPC area of B510. Magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Construction/contract completion time is anticipated to take approximately 90 calendar days after notice to proceed to include inspection and punch list. Actual dates will be specified in solicitation and contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 238220. The small business size standard is $15.0 million. This project is being advertised as UNRESTRICTED. The date for the pre-bid conference is 15 August 2017, 2:00 p.m. local time at the 115th Fighter Wing. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and shall follow conference registration and base access requirements shown in solicitation. A site visit will follow the pre-proposal conference. All questions for the pre-proposal conference must be submitted via e-mail to Katherine.i.fox.mil@mail.mil. The solicitation closing date is scheduled for 25 August 2017. Proposal prices are to be good for 60 days. Interested offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Details regarding registering are found in the solicitation.
