Description
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: This is to fund base year, with 4 additional option years. For the base year the Period of Performance is 1 October 2017 - 30 September 2018. Option years will run concurrent with the Fiscal Year. WILDLIFE CONTROL AND TRAPPING SERVICES: FFP- Control of nuisance wildlife on Navy lands in the Pensacola / Milton Navy Complex. Nuisance wildlife to be controlled in areas designated by the Navy Natural Resources Manager (NRM) or Regional Forester under the direction of the Public Works Officer. Species to be controlled include beaver, coyote, deer, wild hogs, and other species as designated by the Navy. STATEMENT OF WORK NUISANCE WILDLIFE CONTROL AND TRAPPING SERVICES A.Method of removal shall be by directed by the Navy. The use of firearms is authorized subject to authorization from the Navy. Wildlife controlled and/or trapped under this contract shall be removed off Navy property. Deer controlled under the authorization of State of Florida airfield control laws and regulations shall comply with all requirements for disposal. If unable to remove wildlife, the contractor shall ask for assistance from the Navy. All necessary equipment will be supplied by the contractor. B.Nuisance wildlife control and trapping services will be conducted on an as needed basis as determined by the NRM or Regional Forester. Response time shall be four hours from time of notification. The placement of traps/snares shall be approved by the NRM or Regional Forester. All traps shall be removed upon completion of each trapping service request. C.The hourly rate shall be determined by the following services: 1.Setting and Maintaining Snares/Traps 2.Trapping and Removing Animals 3.Site Survey/Checking of Traps D.All animals controlled and/or trapped shall be shown to the NRM or Regional Forester for authorization of payment; telephone numbers: 850-452- 3131 Ext 3016 / 3008. E.The contractor shall conduct a minimum of four site surveys during the year for the purpose of determining the movement of wildlife and the effectiveness of control work. F.The contractor shall maintain communications with the NRM or Regional Forester while performing nuisance animal control work.
