- Description
- MODIFICATION ONE: This modification to NNA17HEEET-L makes the following changes to the Sources Sought Special Notice: 1. Please delete Item #6 regarding the Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimate. The following information clarifies this item: "Cost data is not required for the initial Sources Sought Special Notice response due no later than 9/8/17. After review by the NASA team, and initial verbal out briefs have been conducted with all vendors (October 2017 timeframe), selected vendors will be asked to provide a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimate and timeline for the scope of the design, fabrication, and testing based on additional manufacturing details that will be provided by NASA. This ROM will not be considered a binding commitment, but will serve as a consideration during the partnership evaluation. Due to the rigid cost cap for New Frontiers missions, the cost will be an important consideration." 2. Please delete the paragraph that begins with the sentence: "Potential respondents are asked to contact ARC as soon as possible after release of this document with a Notice Of Interest." Replace the paragraph with the following information: "Potential respondents are asked to contact ARC as soon as possible after release of this document with a Notice Of Interest. This contact does not create an obligation to respond to the Sources Sought, but allows ARC to provide answers to questions from potential partners. All questions and answers will be sent to those who respond to the Notice of Interest, while the source of the questions shall be held confidential. Questions and answers that contain information unique to a respondent's proprietary approach will not be shared if they are identified as such. In the October 2017 timeframe, all RFI respondents will receive a verbal out brief on the content of their initial RFI response, due no later than 9/8/17. After review of RFI responses and out briefs by the NASA team, further details on the mission that will facilitate a focused response will be provided to selected vendors. These details will be proprietary and competition sensitive and not to be shared outside the teams necessary to prepare a full response." END OF MODIFICATION ONE
