- Draft Statement of Work 35% Draft Designs Submittal for F-35A Munitions and Maintenance Facility The Sacramento District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a new construction requirement for the 2-Phase Design-Build F-35A Munitions Maintenance Complex at Hill AFB, UT. The project consists of a single story, multi-bay F-35A munitions maintenance complex and an addition to Building 988, as well as renovation and modernization to Building 988. All new construction will be composed of reinforced concrete footings, foundation, and elevated floor slab to accommodate a reinforced concrete loading dock at the work bays; including insulated standing seam metal roofs. Facility will be designed as a permanent construction in accordance with UFC 1-200-01. It includes an administrative support core with standard metal stud partition walls to form private offices, men's and women's restrooms, tool room, general storage, mechanical room, electrical room, communications room, vault, and break room. The addition to Building 988 will include a storage and munitions maintenance bay with insulated steel frame walls and self-supporting 5-ton ridge crane. Each work bay to be equipped with 60 Hz/single phase and 400 Hz/3 phase power, and explosion proof lighting. The facilities include overall catenary lightning protection, surge protection, intrusion detection, fire detection and suppression, grounding, and exterior lighting as required. Project includes all supporting utilities, site improvements, communication infrastructure, and pavements; including a reinforced concrete approach apron in front of a raised loading dock. The project will comply with DOD antiterrorism protection requirements per UFC 4-010-01. This acquisition is proceeding as as 8(a) Competitive Set-Aside resticted to Utah and Coloarado SBA districts. Estimated Period of Performance for construction is 580 days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 36.204(g), the estimated value of the resulting contract is expected to be $5 Million - $10 Million. This procurement will be conducted under FSC Z2EA, SIC 1541, and NAICS 236220. The size standard for this code is 36.5M. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or about 25 August 2017, for downloading at the Government's website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. The specific due date and time for receipt of proposals will be identified in the solicitation. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. Plans and specifications will NOT be provided in hard paper copy or CD-ROM format. The solicitation and all amendments for this acquisition will be posted on a secure Government website known as FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) once the RFP is issued. Viewing/downloading documents from FedBizOpps will require prior registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.SAM.gov.
