- Please see below: Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify any business size that can potentially provide the items listed below. This includes all small businesses, Service Disabled (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned (VOSB) as well as any business size capable of providing GE MAC 5500 HD ECG SYSTEM and all features needed to complete a full initial cardiology assessment. These items are for the Department of Veteran Affairs, Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed in the attached document. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, Business size, Duns Number. All information is to be submitted via e-mail to donna.cooper2@va.gov. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 2:00pm (EST) on Monday, August 14, 2017. No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. Questions can be submitted electronically to donna.cooper2@va.gov. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. End of Document Statement of Need Wilmington VA Medical, Wilmington, DE Statement of Work for EKG Machine The Wilmington Medical Center has a need for GE MAC 5500HD. To support the other areas that are currently operating without EKG MACHINE of their own, it has been decided that 6 new machines will be needed. These EKG machine will help in the continuation of the organization s mission of producing quality care to our Veterans. EKG will help in the early diagnosis of any cardiac problem or any other changes that is going on with the Veteran. This machine has been tested and it has been seen to be the best for us to full this mission. The features of the EKG machine make it easier and friendly for users. The picture that this machine generates is bold and bright. For any EKG to be meaningful and useful, the provider must be able to read it and visualize it. This machine will provide this capability. The goal is to decrease the error rates in care delivery; this machine will definitely do that. Because of its capability and new improved technology, it will be a tool that could be used to deliver safe patient care. The machine has a way of identifying patient without compromising patient information. Patient information is safe and secure because of the safety features that are built with this machine. To ensure quality improvement, random sample of converted images and index database records will be inspected quarterly. The staff and other healthcare users have been trained on how to use this machine and future training shall be provided to them if need be. GE MAC 5500HD ECG SYSTEM 6 EACH
