Description: COMBINED SYNOPSIS SOLICITATION (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for REFRIGERATION UNITS, BRAND NAME OR EQUAL, as prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated. (ii) The solicitation number is VA244-17-Q-1529 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95 (iv) This solicitation is set aside 100% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and the associated NAICS 333415 code has a small business size standard of 1000. Contractor shall provide: One Traulsen Roll-In Even-Thaw Refrigerator/Self-Contained model RET232LUT-FHS deliverable to the Lebanon VA Medical Center (LVAMC) within sixty (60) days of contract award. One Traulsen W-Width Reach-In Freezer/Self-Contained model RLT132WUT-FHS deliverable to the LVAMC within sixty (60) days of contract award. One Traulsen Roll-In Refrigerator for 72 Inch High Racks/Self-Contained model RRI232HUT-FHS deliverable to the LVAMC within sixty (60) days of contract award. Three air curtain refrigerators equivalent to the FWE Mobile Air Screen Refrigerator model R-AS-10 deliverable to the LVAMC within sixty (60) days of contract award Background: The LVAMC Nutrition and Food Service (NFS) requires replacement of six commercial refrigerators. Performance Period: Delivery shall occur within sixty (60) days of contract receipt. Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price Delivery Order. General Requirement: The LVAMC has a need for six commercial refrigerators as defined below. This is a brand name and brand name equivalent request. Refer to included descriptive literature P02 Specs as prescribed in FAR Provision 52.211-6(b)(3). B Required technical specifications: Industrial/commercial air curtain refrigerator Electrical Connection 120V, 60 Cycle, 1 Phase, 20 Amp Stainless steel construction Coved interior corners Maintain temperature less than or equal to 40 º F for ninety minutes while door is fully open. Door must open 270 degrees Door must have capacity to remain open unassisted during product loading/unloading Door must include full-length vertical door handle Must include casters providing for easy mobility Must accommodate a minimum of ten removable trays Must include a perimeter bumper The contractor shall provide the operation manual, schematics, set-up instructions, maintenance standards and any other applicable documents/manuals. At a minimum all above documentation must be written in English and in hard copy. Warranty: The contractor shall warrant all freezers for a period of at least one year to include parts, labor, travel and any other associated repair expenses. All associated warrantied repair costs will be borne solely by the contractor at no additional cost to the U.S. Government. The warranty will also include unlimited telephone/e-mail support. Inspection and Acceptance: In addition to the inspection and acceptance terms of FAR 52.212-4(a), the Government reserves the right to conduct performance tests and evaluations to verify product performance. Such tests and evaluations shall be conducted within the environment the system is to be operated. The Contractor has the right to be present during the tests and evaluations at the Contractor s expense. Delivery: Contractor shall deliver all units within sixty (60) days of contract award. Delivery address is Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 South Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
