- Page 1 of 4 (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Office Furniture, BRAND NAME OR EQUAL, as prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A firm-fixed price purchase order is anticipated. Simplified Acquisition Procedures IAW FAR 13 will be used. (ii) The solicitation number is VA260-17-Q-0604 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95 (iv) This solicitation is set aside 100% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and the associated NAICS 337214 code has a small business size standard of 1000. The Office Chairs shall be delivered to the Seattle VA Medical Center located at 1600 S. Columbian Way., Seattle, WA 98108; Attn; Warehouse 90D. FOB Destination is preferred. No late quotations will be accepted. (xvi) For information regarding the solicitation, please contact Jared Zinsmeister at jared.zinsmeister@va.gov Attachment (A) The chair must have a lifetime warranty for non-moving parts, a 10 year warranty for moving parts, and 5 years for upholstery. The chair must allow for up to 450 pounds of weight. The chair must have PVC free fabric for the back and seat with a black frame; the seat must be made of an energy absorbing foam for durability and comfort; and the headrest must have memory foam inside for additional comfort. The chair must have a 5 prong heavy duty black base with 2 hard floor casters, which makes it easy to move around and convenient for a variety of different spaces. The arm rests must have arm pads made of polyurethane for comfort and durability. The chair must have Static Lumbar Support with an energy absorbing foam located 5.5 to 12.5 above compressed seat height. There must also be an adjustable contoured thoracic lumbar support with 4 vertical range and 2 depth range. The overall width of the chair must be 29 with the arms fully extended, the overall height must be 48, the seat width must be 21, the seat depth must be 22 -24, the back width must be 22, the back height must be 23, and the inside arm must be 18.25 -20.25. The chair must have mechanisms that can easily adjust the chair so it s comfortable for the user; it must have a pneumatic mechanism to adjust the height and a sliding mechanism for the depth of the seat. The width between the chair arms must adjust up to 2 for each arm, the arm height must adjust up to 4-1/2 for each arm, the arm depth must adjust up to 3-1/2 for each arm, and the arms must be able to pivot with a 30 ° range in and out. There must be a multi-position lock in each part of the chair so it s easy for the individual to lock everything in once it feels right to the user so the individual shouldn t need to adjust any part of the chair an additional time. The headrest must be able to go up and down for the individuals who have a headrest. The chair must have an overall seat height of 16 to 21 so it can adjust accordingly to the height of everyone using the chairs. The chair must have a dual lever that works the slow release synchronous knee tilt mechanism and there must be an intuitive side tension control. The chair must be ISO 9001 certified, ISO 14001 certified, and Greenguard certified.
