Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Navigation and Landing Systems (AJW-143), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has a requirement for a 900E TACAN Antenna P/N 901300-101 along with supporting spare parts and installation. The 900E ESTA is a Low Power TACAN (Tactical Air Navigation) Antenna intended for use with the FA-9996 and other TACAN beacon equipment located at VORTAC sites. It is designed to replace existing TACAN Antennas which have reached the end of their economical service life and, in the process, to provide a TACAN antenna which has greater reliability, ease of maintenance and requires substantially less power to operate than previous TACAN antennas. In addition, 900E ESTA is an all-frequency antenna; that is one antenna setup, can transmit and receive DME/TACAN signals on all frequencies. Built In Test (BITE) assures the user that all antenna electronics are fully functional. The 900E also provides a 2nd level of monitoring, which is a true radiated field monitor, and is located inside the Monitor Antenna/Lightning Arrester assembly. dB Systems retains the proprietary rights to the subject Antenna. The FAA does not have technical data, plans, drawings, manufacturing specifications, and other necessary documentation for full and open competition. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 334220, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,250 employees. Submissions should be sent via email to the following point of contact: Stacey.Stanley@faa.gov (405) 954-4417 If you're viewing this announcement from a source other than Federal Aviation Administration Contract Opportunities (FAACO), visit https://faaco.faa.gov/index.cfm/announcement/view/27974 to view the original announcement.
