Description
AMIC Det 2, OL/PKA, Patrick AFB, FL intends to issue a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the pick-up, transportation, labeling, analyses, fate determination, documentation, and disposal of hazardous or toxic wastes from Government Furnish Equipment (GFE) and Chemicals. The contract will be awarded to MRIGlobal. Market research was previously conducted and it has been determined that this is a sole source requirement IAW FAR 6.302-1. Under Contract FA7022-12-D-0001, EMSS II, MRIGlobal has sole responsibility and control for the disposal of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Chemicals, to complete contract terms and conditions. This requirement is considered commercial in nature and any resultant contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 13.3. The contract period of performance will be from the date of award to 29 Dec 2017. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 562211 - Hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal, and the size standard is $38.5M. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the required services within seven (7) days of issuance of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on the responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. AFFARS 5352.201-9101, Ombudsman is applicable. Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the Contracting Officer for resolution.
