Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project Title: IHS Accreditation Mater Contracts Announcement No.: 17-236-SOL-00050 The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award sole source contracts to The Joint Commission and Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care for the Agency's Hospitals and Ambulatory Health Facilities accreditation services, respectively. The accreditation services include ongoing data analysis and review of quality control compliance through onsite surveys, audits, interviews, records and reports; development of IHS-led (internal) mock survey capabilities, and access to quality assurance/quality improvement/patient safety resources provided by the contractor. The accreditation service provider shall be a certified healthcare accreditation organization with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) deeming authority and must be able to fully execute the requirements for the defined facility types. The period of performance for this effort will be a 12-month base period with four (4) 12-month option periods. This sole source contracting action is being pursued under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposal/quotation. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the Indian Health Service.
