Description
This sources sought announcement replaces the sources sought announcement posted under Solicitation # W91QV1-17-R-0124. This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. A inquiry may not result in a contract award from this sources sought announcement. The Fort Belvoir Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC), on behalf of the 911 Urban Search and Technical Rescue (US&R) team is conducting market research to determine the availability of US&R SMT (Special Mission Tender) Trailer and Elevator Support Unit Kits (to include all components). The trailers will be 16 feet or less in length and contain at a minimum of the following components: Strut Requirements per trailer: (2x) 6 Foot Deployable Raker Kit, (1x) Flying Raker Kit, (8x) 4x4 Channel Bases, (8x) 6x6 Channel Bases, (4x) Offset Cone Bases, (4x) V Bases, (4x) Hinged Bases w/ Anchor Rings. Additional Requirements per trailer are (2x) Bipod Conversion Kit and (1x) Monopod/Pulley Kit. The exterior of the trailers will be red in color, and will not have labels, decals, or images of any kind. Each individual trailer may not exceed 10,000 lbs maximum weight when fully loaded with the required equipment. The elevator support unit kits safely stabilizes the elevator and prevents it from moving. It should not cause damage to elevator cars allowing rescue teams precious time to remove passenger and save lives. Kit includes elevator support Left Arm, elevator support Right Arm, Angled Rubber Base and case. The base attaches to the rescue strut and grips the floor, while the elevator support arms attach to the top of the rescue strut and hooks under the elevator car. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, and capabilities of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community. Interested small business concerns that are qualified as a small business concern in NAICS code 332991 are highly encouraged to submit capability packages. The capability packages for this sources sought market survey are not expected to be proposals, but rather statements regarding the company's existing experience in relation to the equipment required. Capability packages must not exceed 10 pages and must be submitted electronically. All contractor shall submit their capability packages by e-mail, to Sherry L. Carner at sherry.l.carner2.civ@mail.mil by 2:30 PM ET on 18 August 2017. The deadline for submission is 18 August 2017, no later than 2:30 PM ET. Late submissions may not be considered. Please include company name, address, telephone number, and technical point of contact, brochures / and or literature. Submissions shall not exceed 10 pages (8x11 inches), not including pictures and brochures. Format of submissions shall be in accordance with outline provided above. Font shall be 12 pitch with one inch borders. All information is submitted at no cost or obligation to the government. All information marked {Proprietary to company name} will not be disclosed outside of the Department of Defense. NO TELEPHONE INQUIRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. The documentation provided will not be returned. This is a sources sought notice only and is for planning purposes.
