- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy and identifying potential Contractors that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to support and manage all preparatory efforts to support preparations of artifacts and exhibits for the National Coast Guard Museum (NCGM). This is a sources sought notice and request for information (RFI). This is not a formal solicitation. Any formal solicitation will be announced separately at a later time. Information provided to the Government as a result of this posting is strictly voluntary and given with no expectation of compensation, and clearly provided at no cost to the Government. Contact with Government personnel, other than the Contract Specialist or Contracting Officer, by potential offeror or their employees regarding this requirement is strictly prohibited. The purpose of posting this RFI is to locate experienced service providers capable of and interested in performing a non-personal services contract that support the preparations of artifacts and exhibits for the National Coast Guard Museum (NCGM). A detailed Request for Information is attached. The summary of services is as follows: This scope focuses on archival, artifact, technical, and professional support to document, care for, conserve, and prepare art and artifacts for future display. Also included are preliminary interior design services to plan and develop interior schematic, interior design development, construction documentation, media production and software development for the inaugural exhibits. The anticipated period of the contract is 15 Jan 2018 - 14 Jan 2019 with one (1) one-year option period. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price requirements type contract. The solicitation will be issued electronically and will be available for viewing at FEDBIZOPPS.GOV at https://www.fbo.gov. Responses are due in this office no later than close of business on 31 Aug 2017.
