- THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 15 DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING THE SOLICITATION. General Project Description: Location of the work to be performed shall be at Maintain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. The Contractor shall perform all work required to furnish, install, commission, and place in service a total of 22,600 linear feet of 10 feet high galvanized security fence at the lagoon landfills. Project Scope: Furnish, install and test the 10 feet high galvanized security fence with 3 strand barbed wire, gated entrances and warning signs at lagoon landfills 001, 002, 003, and 023. The solicitation will be a competitive Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 36.213 entitled "special procedures for sealed bidding in construction contracting." IMPORTANT NOTICE: All offerors submitting a bid in response to the solicitation must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of the contract. By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the SAM database prior to award. FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management, will be incorporated into the solicitation. For information or assistance with registering in the SAM database, log on the Internet website at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/#1. The solicitation documentation for this requirement will be issued in electronic format only and will be made available online on or about 26 August 2017 through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov/ under Solicitation W912DW-17-R-0057.
