Description

AMENDMENT #2- (11 Aug 17) Due to technical difficulties with uploading attachments, Questions and Answers are provided below: Q.1."Have differential data and clock OUTPUTS for the Encryptor (120 ohms)". We assume that this was intended to say "Have differential data and clock INPUTS for the Encryptor (120 ohms). Please confirm. A.1. Yes, the Transmitter should have differential INPUTS to accept signals from the Encryptor. Q.2. "Have a frequency selector port for a Serial control interface". Is this intended be to a SEPARATE port for accepting frequency selection from thumbwheel switches, or is this simply using a general-purpose serial port that accepts commands from a PC or other programming device? If it's a separate port, please define the pinout for the external frequency selection device. Also, if it requires a separate device for selecting frequency (thumbwheel switches, for example), is that selection device to be provided with the transmitter? A.2. Yes, serial inputs is for a remote Thumbwheel BOX (or equivalent) for frequency selection. Yes, such box should be provided as well. Pinout at discretion of the manufacturer. A separate and dedicated port would be preferred but not required. Q.3. "Have a minimum of FM/PCM and SOQPSK encoding transmission". Since this procurement is LPTA, it seems that there is no desire to have the ARTM Tier II (multi-h CPM) waveform. Please confirm. A.3. Correct, multi-h CPM is not required. We mostly use NRZ-L and SOQPSK at this time.
