- Sources Sought Announcement The Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD is seeking potential sources under the proposed NAICS Code 811219 (Laboratory instrument repair and maintenance services) who have the capability to provide the following requirements: Preventive Maintenance and remedial repair services for Molecular Devices LLC brand SpectraMax Plus 384 (SN MN03176) and M2 Microplate Reader (SN D02429) located at Aberdeen Proving Ground MD. Molecular Devices LLC is the Original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and is the only source of spare or replacement parts and software for this instrument. Its own service technicians are the only one trained to perform service on this instrument in North America. Contractor must be able to acquire authorization and or certification from the OEM to perform the required service and repair to include being able to acquire OEM parts, and updated software from the manufacturer. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS code 811219. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a RFQ may be issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary and will not affect any corporation's ability to submit an offer if and when a solicitation is released. There is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement. Interested sources may submit their capabilities and qualifications via email to: Rex M, Valdez @ rex.m.valdez2.civ@mail.mil on or before 18 August 2017 @ 4:00PM EST with the following information: 1. Company name. 2. Capability Statement (highly encouraged) 3. SAM Cage Code. 4. Point of Contact name telephone & email. 5. Small business size standard in relation to NAICS code 811219. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any improperly identified propriety information of the submission of the contractor's information.
