Description
The United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), Fort Bragg, NC, has a Brand Name or Equal requirement for two-hundred and eighty (280) Parachutist Jump Bottle Systems (Aluminum lined Carbon Fiber Wrapped, volume 122 cu in at 3,000 psig). The Original Equipment Manufacturer is COBHAM, DBA Carleton Technologies, Inc, Orchard Park, NY. The Military Freefall (MFF) Parachutists require an interim Parachutist Oxygen Bottle to fill the capability gap; current bottles do not provide sufficient oxygen to the parachutists that meet the RA-1 MFF parachute system High Altitude High Opening (HAHO) stand-off capability. Delivery shall be to 5749 Briar Hill Road, BLDG 102, Lexington, KY. Anticipated delivery should not be later than 52 weeks after receipt of order. The set-aside for this requirement will be unrestricted. The NAICS code applicable to this requirement is 332912 "Fluid Power Valve and Hose Fitting Manufacturing," with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. This requirement is subject to the policies and procedures outlined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and other applicable regulations and FAR supplements. The solicitation will be made available to interested industry participants not later than 25 August 2017. The solicitation and any subsequent documents will be accessible through the following site only: https://www.fbo.gov, Federal Business Opportunities. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal at the designated date/time as indicated in the solicitation. To be an eligible participant for the solicitation and during the submission of their respective quote, the prospective offeror shall provide the Contracting Office with the Safety Confirmation memo for their proposed product signed by the United States Army Evaluation Center.
