- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources and certifications to perform annual preventive maintenance inspections and deflection testing on two-hundred ten (210) Guldmann patient overhead lifting systems located on the campus of the Captain James Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, IL. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a Size Standard of $20.5 million in revenue. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Requirements: The Contractor shall provide all labor, travel, materials, weights and equipment necessary to effectively, economically, and satisfactorily perform annual preventive maintenance inspections and deflection testing on two-hundred ten (210) Guldmann patient overhead lifting systems in accordance with the DRAFT Statement of Work included in this posting. Please Note: All work performed shall be completed by personnel certified by Guldmann for inspection and maintenance of these lifts. All certifications and credentials shall be submitted to the government for review and approval. The period of performance shall be for one (1) Base Year of approximately 12 months and four (4) 12-month option years. Capabilities Statement: Interested parties shall submit a Capabilities Statement, BRIEF and CONCISE, yet clearly demonstrates ability to meet the stated requirements. The Capabilities Statement should clearly present evidence that the interested party feels is relevant. All interested firms responding to this Sources Sought Notice are requested to provide a capability statement which needs to include: - Company Name - Point of Contact Name, Phone Number and Email - Business Status (i.e., 8(a), HUBZone, Woman-owned, SDVOSB, Large, etc.) - Dunn & Bradstreet Number - Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code - Indication of Current Systems for Awards Management (SAM) Registration (i.e., SAM and Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) registration, etc.) - Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort and documentation supporting claims of the company and staff capability. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES, SMALL BUSINESSES, SOLE SOURCED OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the above-listed services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by 9:00 AM CST on Friday, August 18, 2017.
