- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ), W912P517T0063, to furnish and supply all materials, equipment and installation required to complete the tow haulage winch unit at Chickamauga Lock Project. The tow haulage winch unit shall include inverter duty electric motor with encoder that is suitable for use with a closed loop vector control variable frequency drive (VFD), drum, gear unit, variable frequency drive (VFD), limit switch, integral winch unit base, wire ropes, anchor bolts, and other necessary accessories. This description is not intended to be all encompassing and is subject to change. No solicitation document exists at this time. The Technical Specifications and Plans will be attached with the solicitation announcement. The solicitation is expected to be released on or around August 21, 2017. The product must be completed, delivered and installed no later than 270 days after contract award. NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: 333923 and 1,250 TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be available in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov. It is, and will continue to be, the responsibility of all potential quoters to monitor the FBO website for any amendments, updates, responses to industry questions/comments, etc. The Government will not be maintaining a mailing list. The project location has special security requirements that will be identified in the solicitation.
