- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Augusta GA, is posting a solicitation for a Hydratherm hot pack heating unit. This requirement is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) only. An organization that is not considered a Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business under the applicable NAICS code should not submit a response to this notice. SDVOSB business concerns should be capable of furnishing all labor, supervision, and parts, to include all equipment necessary to perform all work required under the proposed contract. LOCATION: Department of Veterans Affairs Dorn VA Medical Center 6439 Garners Ferry Rd Columbia SC 29209 NAICS: 423450 Description of Equipment HydraTherm Hot Pack Heating Unit Polymer tank instead of steel Reduced number of annual cleanings (2 vs 24 for competing heating units) HydraTherm features a composite mold proof, rust proof tub that is resistant to bacteria and requires only 2 cleanings a year as opposed to two times a month Two heating racks to choose from For easy hot pack retrievalàa pull-out divider system puts hot packs within reach with a lift of the divider s handle For maximum storageàa traditional style heating unit rack, which allows stacking of hot packs on tops of racks Increased patient safety with digital display and thermostat, giving Physical Therapist control over the treatment temperatures of the hot packs used for moist heat therapy Low water sensor deactivates heating element, reducing fire hazards HydraTherm Deluxe Models include an electric drainage pump (allows fast and easier cleanings) and fold away side shelf (convenient area for hot pack preparation prior to treatment) For best results, use in conjunction with HydraHeat hot packs High water temperature setting of 165F are not required to deter mold growth when HydraTherm is used in conjunction with HydraHeat packs SOLICITATION: Will be posted August 11, 2017.
