- N66604-17-Q-0829 – Solicitation Amendment 1 Amendment - The purpose of this amendment is to extend the response date and time and to answer an industry question. The response date and time is extended from Tuesday, 08 August 2017 at 2:00PM EST to Thursday, 17 August 2017 at 2:00PM EST. In order to be considered for award, the offeror is required to sign and return the attachment "N66604-17-Q-0829-0001 - Solicitation Amendment 1" with its quote via electronic submission to Kristina Michael at Kristina.Michael@navy.mil prior to the close of the solicitation response date and time. ***NOTE: The proposal shall meet the minimum specifications listed in Clause UW C-2-0005 (alt 1) of the solicitation "N66604-17-Q-0829 - Solicitation 1". This opportunity does not include a requirement for a three (3) year warranty term.*** Industry Question and Answer is as follows: Q1: Can I email you our bid/response by sending you Government Standard Form 1449? Or must I answer within the FBO.gov website? A1: The signed Standard Form 1449 and any supporting documentation shall be emailed to Kristina.michael@navy.mil. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Amendment - The purpose of this amendment is to answer industry submitted questions. Q1: Are vendors only required to provide pages 1 & 2 of the "N66604-17-Q-0829 - Solicitation 1"? A1: By signing and returning "N66604-17-Q-0829 - Solicitation 1", the offeror acknowledges it has read the entire document and completed all fill-ins, where required. Q2: It says "offeror to complete blocks 12, 17, 23, 24, AND 30". Can I provide this information in a separate document, or must I specifically fill your form on pages 1 & 2? A2: The offeror shall complete blocks 12, 17, 23, 24, and 30 of "N66604-17-Q-0829 - Solicitation 1", on the Government Standard Form 1449. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. Solicitation - **NOTE: The minimum requirement is revised. An offeror shall submit its quote in accordance with the attachment "N66604-17-Q-0829 - Solicitation 1." In order to be considered for award, the offeror is required to sign and return the "N66604-17-Q-0829 - Solicitation 1" document with its quote via electronic submission to Kristina Michael at Kristina.Michael@navy.mil prior to the solicitation closing date and time.** Amendment - The purpose of this amendment to the synopsis is to answer industry submitted questions. Q1: Is proposing the use of a standard desktop chassis with Half Height drives acceptable? A1: The Government's Minimum Specifications are included as Attachment #1. The height of the proposed drives should not affect these specifications. Q2: Would the Government provide the serial numbers of the existing Tape Duplicators? A2: Since the Government's Minimum Specifications are included as Attachment #1, the Government does not intend to provide these serial numbers. This is a synopsis for noncommercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 13 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is being processed as a 100% Small Business Set Aside, as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334118. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 Employees. NUWCDIVNPT intends to purchase the following items on a Firm-Fixed Price basis: CLIN 0001: LTO-6 Tape Copying Device; Quantity 1 EACH. CLIN 0002: LTO-7 Tape Copying Device; Quantity, 1 EACH. The anticipated purchase order will include Option CLINs for additional units (CLINs 0003-0004) and Option CLINs for hardware maintenance (CLINs 0005-0006), as follows: CLIN 0003 (Option): LTO-6 Tape Copying Device; Quantity, 2 EACH. CLIN 0004 (Option): LTO-7 Tape Copying Device; Quantity, 2 EACH. CLIN 0005 (Option): Hardware Warranty; Quantity, 1 JOB (PoP from 12 months after date of contract award through 24 months thereafter). CLIN 0006 (Option): Hardware Warranty; Quantity, 1 JOB (PoP from 24 months after date of contract award through 36 months thereafter). The contractor shall configure and deliver the above required units in accordance with Attachment #1, "Minimum Requirement." All delivered units shall be subject to the Government acceptance procedures as listed in Attachment #2, "NUWCDIVNPT Code 15 Acceptance Testing Procedure for Linear Tape Open (LTO) Tape Duplication Systems and Standards." Required delivery is thirty (30) days after receipt of order (ARO). Early and partial deliveries are acceptable. F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. The anticipated release date of the solicitation, N66604-17-Q-0829, is 27 July 2017. Additional details will be released upon issuance of N66604-17-Q-0829.
