Description
Site Visit Sign-In Sheet Amendment 006 SF-30 The purpose of this Amendment is to provide the sign-in sheet from the site visit as requested and to answer questions received. This is Amendment 006. Please be sure to acknowledge each amendment on the Standard Form 1442 (SF-1442) and to sign and return each Standard Form 30 (SF-30). Q: Who was the electrical company that would be installing power to the park? A: See Construction Specification CS-42 Q: Easement widths? A: Utility easement widths are provided on the drawings. Easement width within East Sibley Nature Park is 50 ft. Q: Boring verses clearing and grubbing? A: Boring/directional drilling will be allowed in lieu of clearing/grubbing and trenching. Please refer to project specifications Q: Tree replacement? A: The question is not clear. Tree replacement in the park shall be in accordance with Construction Specification 6 - Seeding, Sprigging, and Mulching, Section 7.1.b Q: I was wondering if you could clarify for me what the easement is on this project? A: Refer to Drawing Sheet 3, Construction Spec 8, and Amendments 2, 3, and 5. Q: What is your expectation as far as the pipe going in the ground. Do you want it to go in a fairly straight line or do we have some flexibility to "snake" our way around some of the trees and other obstacles that are down there in an effort to disturb less? A: Deviations from the grades and alignments shown on the plans will be addressed on an individual basis. It is important to note that the horizontal alignment through the park will not be altered due to the establishment of an easement for that portion of the pipeline. Likewise for the portions of pipe that are utilizing utility easements across private property. Vertical grades could be changed but would need to be requested by the contractor prior to installation. For the vertical and horizontal tolerances of the pipeline as indicated on the plans, please reference Construction Specification 405 Horizontal Directional Drilling. The vertical tolerance is +/- 0.5 ft. The horizontal tolerance is +/- 1.0 ft. These tolerances shall apply to the pipeline installation. Q: Alignment of pipe "can it weave between trees if within easement"? A: Pipe will be allowed to "weave" so long as the entire pipe remains with the established limits of the easements. Q: Pea rock quantities are they for the entire line? A: Pea gravel quantity is for the entire job at the trench width indicated on the project drawings. There are two trench details shown on the revised drawings. The first detail shows pea gravel only being used for bedding and haunching...this is what the pear gravel quantity relates to...not the second detail where pea gravel is shown to be used for initial fill as well. Pea gravel quantities provided are based on the following details: - Trench construction for the length of the pipeline - Trench detail 1 (initial backfill with native soil) (Sheet 24) Q: Just wondering what the warranty period is for the USDA NRCS Irrigation job up for bid in Bismarck, ND. A: There is no warranty period defined for the job. There is a warranty requirement for the pump. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
