Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE AEROCOMPUTERS UC-6000 DIGITAL MAPPING SYSTEM UPGRADE In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 8.405-6, Brand Name Justification for Simplified Acquisition Procedures, the United States Marshal Service (USMS) intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to AeroComputers, Inc. to purchase enhancements to an existing AeroComputers aircraft mapping system. This is considered a sole source to AeroComputers, Inc. because, to the best of the USMS's knowledge, based on market research conducted, these are upgrades and enhancements to a system already in use by ASB aircraft. Due to proprietary characteristics Aero Computers is the only vendor with the knowledge to modify the system. Therefore, AeroComputers, Inc. is the only known source that can fulfill the USMS requirement. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy USMS's requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. Telephone responses and requests will not be received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
