- 17QW004_sol N00164-17-Q-W004 - SOLE SOURCE - INTERFEROMETER - FSC 6030 NAICS 333314 Issue Date: 15 AUG 2017 Closing Date: 17 AUG 2017 Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price supply contract in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, for Interferometers. The anticipated solicitation is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, PROMET OPTICS, 4611 CHATSWORTH STREET N SHOREVIEW, MN 55126 AND THEIR AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTORS. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The basis for restricting competition is due to duplicative costs and time that would be required to acquire supply and process an add to Navy calibration certification. All other offerors may submit a quote that will be reviewed by the Government. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The following is the anticipated award CLIN structure: CLIN 0001 FIBO 250 Interferometer Package (Quantity 5) CLIN 0002 Connector Adapter LC/APC (Quantity 5) CLIN 0003 Ferrule Adapter 1.25mm PC (Quantity 5) CLIN 0004 Ferrule Adapter 2.5mm PC (Quantity 5) CLIN 0005 Ferrule Adapter 1.6mm PC (Quantity 5) CLIN 0006 Ferrule Adapter 2.0mm PC (Quantity 5) CLIN 0007 NIST/ISO Traceable Cert. of 2D and 3D Calibr. Targets(Quantity 5) CLIN 0008 Extended Warranty (Quantity 5) Inspection and Acceptance is to be at destination with delivery F.O.B. Destination: NSWC Crane, IN 47522-5001. The anticipated award is in the estimated amount of $140,000. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to FedBizOpps. It is the responsibility of the interested vendors to monitor FedBizOpps for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offeror's that provide a quote will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
