- Description
- This is a modification to W91YTZ-17-R-0094 Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Automated Blood Bank Instrument to include reagents, consumables, training and maintenance of equipment for the Blood Bank, Department of Pathology at Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC). This 2nd modification addresses the questions asked. Question 1: Can you please list out the systems that you currently have in place, including interface software, so we are sure to identify/include the correct software in response to the SOW? Answer: Military Laboratory Information System (LIS), i.e., the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and/or the Department of Defense (DOD) Blood Bank Establishment Computer System (BECS) which is HCLL from Mediware. (** Note; LIS and/or CHCS are the same system) Question 2: p18- The contractor shall furnish interface assistance to ensure that the system is interfaced with the LIS/BECS and should provide any software or equipment needed to create the interface. Does 'any software' refer only to (vendor/analyzer) software or include BECS interface software? Since your BECS vendor is the only source of this interface software, what is the quoted price for this software if you seek reimbursement from contractor? Answer: "Any software" refers to any software on the vendor/analyzer side needed for the analyzer to be interface capable. Question 3: p19 -1b.- Any additional computer software that might be required for an interface, even if the instrument is not immediately interfaced, must be included in the technical proposal. Again, does 'additional computer software' refer to Vendor software or some other LIS related software? What is the quoted cost of that LIS vendor software? Answer: "Additional computer software" refers to any software on the vendor/analyzer side needed for the analyzer to be interface capable.
