Description: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is seeking a comprehensive Energy Dispersive X-ray Microanalysis system (EDS) for the U.S. EPA Region 10 Laboratory to support mineral (including but not limited to asbestos) analysis work performed for the Superfund Program, compliance programs, and for general minerals analysis research. It must be capable of performing qualitative and quantitative analysis, image capture, image centric analysis, and X-ray spectral mapping and line scanning. The EDS system must be compatible with a JEOL Model JSM6510LV scanning electron microscope (SEM) and compatible with/accommodate an electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) system.
