Description

The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source based on compatibility. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with RHK Technology, Inc, 1050 E. Maple Road Troy, MI 48083-2813, for the purchase of one (1) Orsay Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) high resolution scanning electron microscope (SEM) that is to be integrated with a Government-owned UHV scanning probe microscope (SPM) analytical system. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, this notice does function as a Request for Information (RFI) for offeror's who believe they can meet the Government's requirement (see Section 9 below). Any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Requirement: CLIN 0001: Quantity one (1) Orsay Eclipse PLUS UHV Scanning Electron Microscope to be integrated into a Government-owned UHV RHK 3500 SPM-Analytical System, to include installation and training. The Government does not intend to use Part 12 for this acquisition.
