- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source Contract To FLIR, 25 Esquire Rd, North Billerica, MA. The Federal Aviation Administration Product Services Branch (AML-4060) has a requirement for repair and upgrade Block 1 Surveillance System. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.FLIR is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and retains the proprietary rights to the original design and technical data. The proposed NAICs code for this acquisition is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, commercial appliance use, with a size standard of $20.5M. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation isnot available for this procurement.
