Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source Contract To FLIR, 25 Esquire Rd, North Billerica, MA. The Federal Aviation Administration Product Services Branch (AML-4060) has a requirement for repair and upgrade Block 1 Surveillance System. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures.FLIR is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and retains the proprietary rights to the original design and technical data. The proposed NAICs code for this acquisition is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, commercial appliance use, with a size standard of $20.5M. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation isnot available for this procurement. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
