Description
Dyess AFB is requesting information for the repair of an E-one manufactured FIRE APPARATUS (Fire Truck) REPAIR in support of the 7 Civil Engineer Squadron to determine available sources for services listed below. This is a request for information for market research purposes only. No solicitation is available at this time. This sources sought is open to all types of businesses including small businesses. the information in this notice is based on current information available to date and is not binding to the Government. FIRE APPARATUS (FIRE TRUCK) REPAIR: CAB AND BODY REPAIR STATEMENT OF WORK 7th Civil Engineer Dyess AFB, TX 1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The 7th Civil Engineering Squadron (7CES) requires a comprehensive repair to the driver-side compartment, of a damaged fire apparatus (vehicle). The contractor will provide all necessary parts, equipment and installation services to include, but not limited to, floor pan, running board, rub rail, end cap, spacer, reflective tape, wheel chock holder, ROM door, wrench holder, trim for bottom of compartment door, unistrut, 1x3 tubing, well tray, paint repair, misc. shop supplies and labor. 1.1 WORK TO BE PERFORMED. Contractor will replace or repair the following items: • 1 L1 Floor pan; PN: 624707_01 • 1 LH Running board; PN: 1051456 • 8 Rub rails; PN: 555641 • 4 End caps; PN: 288214 • 10 Spacers ; PN: 295008 • 10 Reflective tape; PN: 441592 • 1 Wheel chock holder; PN: 510950 • 1 ROM door; PN: 706285-E10264 • 1 Wrench holder • 1 Trim for bottom of compartment door • 3 Unistruts; PN: 635220 • 3 1x3 tubing; PN: 106110 • 1 Hose well tray; PN: 695114 • 1 Paint repair (sublet); Shop Brand: Sikken; Paint Codes: FLNA 4011/3021 • 1 Misc. shop supplies 1.2 LOCATION OF SERVICES. All work will be done at the contractor's site of business. The government will be responsible for delivering the vehicle to the contractor facility. Repair facility must be within 300 mile radius to Dyess AFB. 1.3 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS. In order to maintain the existing warranties on both the affected and non-affected part of the truck, work must be completed at an E-One approved facility. Additionally, all replacement parts must be approved by E-One, and not substituted or aftermarket manufactured parts, unless approved by E-One. At completion of work, the original E-One 10 year\100,000 mile warranty will remain intact. The vehicle must continue to conform to all applicable U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards in effect on the date of manufature or June 2016. 1.4 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE. The period of performance will consists of 60 days from the award of the contract. 1.5 PLACE OF INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE. (For all CLINs) Inspection and acceptance of all work performance shall be performed by the Government. 2. SERVICE DELIVERY SUMMARY. Once completed, the operation of the compartment rolling door fully functional. Wheel chock holder operational with existing chocks. 1.1 100% of services completed Paint, striping, reflective material (if applicable) all match existing paint. 1.1 100% of services completed 3. HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS. During the course of performing work under this contract, should the contractor find conditions existing that prevent the performance of task specified; the Contracting Officer shall be immediately notified. 4. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT. The government will furnish the fire apparatus needing repair. All Government Furnished Property referred to in this clause will remain the property of the Government, or its contractor, and under that entity's control at all times. The Government retains the right to withdraw or reallocate these resources at any time, and without notice, during the performance of this contract. 2016 Fire Apparatus; VIN: 4EN6AAA86G1000087; Vehicle Family: GENE2V0CV001 5. GENERAL INFORMATION. 5.1 Contractor Quality Control Plan. The contractor is responsible for the function of quality control (QC) as it pertains to the installation of the compartment door. 5.2 Work Area. All work will be conducted at the site of the contractor's business. 5.3 Employee Qualifications. Installation personnel shall be trained/qualified to install automotive and mechanical equipment into a mobile truck/vehicle. 5.4 Warranty Terms. One (1) year warranty for installation and all components.
