Description
Sources Sought Full Text Product Description NoveList helps readers discover books they want to read and connects them to library collections. Currently, the NoveList Plus database contains information on 500,000+ popular fiction and readable nonfiction titles for all ages. The titles included in NoveList are specifically selected to represent typical public library collections; thus, all titles included in NoveList are relevant and highly curated. NoveList K-8 Plus is frequently used in children's spaces. This interface provides a trusted source of information audience curated specifically for younger readers. It helps kids find books that are just right for their reading level and interests. These services are provided by a customizable user interface. All databases are searchable with a variety of limiters to expedite the search process including searching by subject, author, and publication. Product characteristics an equal item must meet to be considered: * Comprehensive, curated readers' advisory information designed specifically for libraries and readers. * A taxonomy (appeal terms) to describe the mood and feel of books in a way that readers understand using highly-curated expert metadata; * Handwritten read-alike recommendations, which are written and signed by book experts. * Includes book review sources - pulling in both professionals reviews (from Booklist, Kirkus, Library Journal, Publisher's Weekly, School Library Journal) as well as from readers (from Goodreads). * Editorial content written by librarians including: book discussion guides, thematic book lists, author read-alikes, genre outlines, and 'best practices' articles on readers' advisory. * All of the recommendations and content from the service is integrated into the library catalog, where it is easy for patrons to find. This can mean the difference between a reader leaving empty-handed, or discovering a next read that they will love. * Display- in real time - whether one of the recommended titles is available right now in the library and the formats (print, ebook, audio, etc) available.
