Description
The US Army Contracting Command (ACC) New Jersey is conducting a Market Survey on behalf of U.S Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center for support services to encompass a broad range of ammunition demilitarization technology areas. The US Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) in conjunction with PdD DEMIL, are currently investigating the development, and interaction of demilitarization technology to meet the full spectrum of the demilitarization enterprise needs for conventional ammunition, including but not limited to cluster munitions, landmines, small/medium/large caliber, smokes/dyes/pyrotechnics/riot munitions, grenades, demolition, tank rounds, and energetic materials. The contractor shall be able to develop and implement RDT&E Plans and initiatives in order to identify and mature new technologies, ideas, and concepts to address emerging demilitarization requirements. The contractor shall conduct applied research, develop conceptual and advanced concepts, develop engineering designs, fabricate prototype hardware, and perform laboratory, pilot, prototype, and full scale tests to conduct and support research and development of closed disposal conventional ammunition demilitarization for the Department of Defense munitions contained in the demilitarization stockpile. Computer aided design may be required (i.e. Modeling and Simulation functions). Work efforts would be done at the UNCLASSIFIED/FOUO level. Vendor Questionnaire: The purpose of this questionnaire is to obtain information from industry to assist in the market research. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interest and capability to satisfy the above requirements by identifying the following items: 1. Company Name 2. Company Address / Country Represented / Website 3. Company point of contact and phone number 4. Business Size (Small/Large & Number of Employees) CAGE Code / DUNS Number. 5. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 332999. 6. Commerciality: Identify the product(s) or services provided by your company and whether: (a.) Our product as described above, has been sold, leased or licensed to the general public (b.) Our product as described above, has been sold in substantial quantities, on a competitive basis, to multiple state and local governments. The development of the product was done exclusively at private expense. (c) None of the above applies. Explain. 7. Location where primary work will be performed (if more than one location, please indicate the percentage for each location). 8. Major partners or suppliers. 9. Identify existing facilities, equipment and workforce (identify what percentage would be supporting this new effort and what additional resources would be required) and their qualification to perform this type of work. 10. Provide examples of prior work addressing similar requirements. 11. Identify manufacturing, managing and engineering experience of like systems of equal or greater complexity. 12. Identify lead time, including supplier/design qualification efforts and manufacturing ramp up time, to meet full capability for addressing the requirement. 13. Please provide any additional comments.
