Description
Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with MIM Software, Inc. (DUNS: 136977290), pursuant to FAR part 12, FAR part 8, and specifically FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(ii), for purchases exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, conducted under the authority of the Multiple Award Schedule Program. The proposed sole source purchase order is for add-on software to the existing MIM Maestro software suite currently in use at the requiring facility. Specifically, the add-on software to procured is the MIM Symphony software add-on for Low Dose Rate Brachytherapy planning. The requiring Medical Center for this action is the Hunter Holmes VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. The NAICS code for this contract action is 511210, Software Publishers (SBA Size Standard: $38.5 million annual revenue). The Product Service Code for this action is 7030, Information Technology Software. Market research indicates that equivalent software packages that would integrate with the existing MIM Maestro software suite are unlikely. Additionally, market research has not identified authorized distributors for the manufacturer, MIM Software, Inc. Sole source FSS award, made under limited sources justification, to MIM Software, Inc., is the proposed strategy for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Sunday, August 20, 2017, 08:00PM EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Daniel Spaulding, Contract Specialist, at daniel.spaulding@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
