- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) intends to award a sole source bridge contract to Cubic Applications, Inc. with a 6 month base period of performance, from 27 October 2017 through 26 April 2018, and one 3-month option period from 27 April 2018 through 26 July 2018, providing a total of 9 months of additional support if all options are exercised in order to maintain Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Training Systems Support (MTSS). The proposed contracting action is to procure non-personal support services to provide contractor support in meeting mission critical requirements pre-deployment training to the United States Marine Corps operating forces within a Joint and combined environment to improve USMC warfighting skills. The Marine Corps has a continuing requirement to provide MTSS Support and the Program Manager for Training Systems (PMTRASYS) will be soliciting a competitive follow-on contract to provide the required support. Cubic Applications, Inc. is the incumbent contractor. Support services provided under the current contract will end on 31 October 2017. A short-term sole source contract with the incumbent is necessary because award to any other source would create unacceptable delays in fulfilling the Marine Corps' requirement for support until such time as a competitively awarded follow-on contract may be put in place. Current support for MTSS cannot be interrupted without causing unacceptable delays in services and degrading mission capability. Marine Corps Systems Command plans to issue soliciation #M67854-18-R-7800 for the competitive follow-on effort, which should be posted to FEDBIZOPPS in the first quarter of FY18.
