688-17-4-273-0126 STATEMENT OF WORK Transaction No. 688-17-4-273-0126 VAMC, Washington, D.C. -Police Officers Operations Supplies A. Scope of Work: Statement of work depicts the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 50 Irving Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. purchase for VA Police New Operations Supplies. The VA Police Service Standard Operating Procedure, Chapter II, Section A Uniform Standards Operations Procedures stated the following mandatory Law Enforcement Requirements: Police Service will provide all VA Police Officers that are assigned to this Medical Center with protective body armor (vest), magazine, duty gear, duty/ training ammo etc. The authorization for procurement of protective body armor vests and other Police Officers supplies and equipment reflects an assessment that a high possibility exists that officers may be injured by a weapon at any time during the course of their duties VAMC, Washington, D.C. VA Police Officers are not authorized to wear personal vest duty gear, tactical equipment, magazine, duty/training ammunition for mandatory training purpose. These items must be purchase by Police Service for VA Police Officers, in order to meet Bureau of Standards requirements. The VA Police Officers are not authorized to wear or use their own personal weapon and/or magazine or other equipment when they are on duty. B. Special Delivery/Receiving & Inventory Requirements: These supplies and equipment can only be received and inventory by the Chief Police Service once items are shipped and deliver to the VAMC, Washington DC Warehouse (50 Irving Street, N.W.) ATTN: Chief Tony Hebert, Chief Police, Service (07). Signature will be required by the Warehouse staff. A copy of each change will be kept in a project folder along with all other products of the project. Costs incurred by the vendor through the actions of parties other than the CO shall be borne by the vendor. E. CONFIDENTIALITY AND NONDISCLOSURE: It is agreed that: The preliminary and final deliverables, and all associated working papers, application source code, and other material/supply deemed relevant by VA which have been generated by the vendor in the performance of this task order, are the exclusive property of the U.S. Government and shall be submitted to the CO at the conclusion of the task order. The CO will be the sole authorized official to release, verbally or in writing, any data, draft deliverables, final deliverables, or any other written or printed materials pertaining to this task order. No information shall be released by the contractor. Any request for information relating to this task order, presented to the vendor, shall be submitted to the CO for response. 3. Press releases, marketing material, or any other printed or electronic documentation related to this project, shall not be publicized without the written approval of the Contracting Officer. Abbreviations and Definitions: Contracting Officer (CO): The representative of the Washington DC VA Medical Center who has the authority to enter into, administer, terminate, modify, approve changes, or otherwise represent and bind the WVAMC in all matters arising under or relating to this agreement. Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR): Individual(s) who furnishes Technical guidance and advice or generally supervises the work performed under the contract. Designations will be in writing and will define the scope and limitation of the representative's authority.
