Description
Notice of Intent for Sole Source In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations part 5.201, the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration Office (DOL/ETA) hereby issues this notice of intent for a twelve-month sole source procurement. DOL/ETA intends to award a six-month base and a six month option sole source contract to Minact Inc. for the continued operation of the Milwaukee Job Corps Center with Outreach and Admissions, Career Transition Services for the state of Wisconsin located at 6665 N. 60th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53223. The NAICS for this requirement is 611519. The statutory authority permitting the acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 USC 254(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Job Corps is a national residential training and employment program designed to prepare low-income youth to obtain and hold gainful employment or pursue further education or training. The contractor shall operate the aforementioned Job Corps center, which includes provision of academic, career technical, career success skills, and career development training, and related support services, for 121 residential male students, 121 residential female students, 15 nonresidential male students, and 15 nonresidential female students. The contractor shall operate residential quarters (housing) and services to all students as applicable. The program shall be operated by a contractor for the U.S. Department of Labor in accordance with the Workforce Investment Act of 2014, Job Corps regulations and the Policy and Requirements Handbook. The anticipated Period of Performance is: Base: September 1, 2017 through February 28, 2018 Option Period: March 1, 2018 through August 31, 2018 FAR 52.217-8 September 1, 2018 through February 28, 2019 This is a notice of the intent to award a sole source contract. It is published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. No responses to the notice of intent to sole source are anticipated.
