Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This requirement is for Fiscal Year (FY) 18 and is subject to FAR 52.232-18 Availability of Funds. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of the Multiple Award Schedule Program. The Department of Veterans Affairs Desert Pacific Healthcare network (VISN 22) intends to issue a limited source award to Omnicell, Inc., a large business, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B). The software/hardware required to operate Omnicell systems, preventive maintenance services, and upgrades and patches are patented by Omnicell, Inc. This Federal Supply Schedule Blanket Purchase Agreement is estimated to be awarded on October 01, 2017 with a base year and 4 option years. This is not a request for a quote. Any business that believes this limited source justification is invalid shall provide the following by August 28, 2017: A copy of the authorization from Omnicell Inc allowing the firm to perform preventive maintenance inspections (PMI), perform software/hardware upgrades and patches on Omnicell systems and components. Documentation that demonstrates its firm s capability to provide the required services on Omnicell Systems and components. Indication of business size and socio-economic status. The Government shall not reimburse sources for providing this information. Responses received by the date specified with this notice shall be reviewed for current and future acquisitions. A firm that finds this limited source acquisition not justified shall respond directly to Lee Tanner via email at lee.tanner@va.gov.
