- Amendment no. 000001 to 693JF717R00028-GymFloor The purpose for this amendment is to add applicable clauses, delete inapplicable clauses and provisions and to update the solicitation. (See the attached SF1449 Amendment no. 1 for updates). This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial item services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement is being issued as a request for proposal (RFP) and constitutes as the only solicitation proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will ot be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-95. This solicitation is set-aside 100% for small business. The North American Industrial Classification Standard 238330 applies; business size standard is $15.0. The United States Merchant Maritime Academy (USMMA) is operated by the Maritime Administration (MARAD): an agency of the United States Department of Transportation seeks a qualified and experienced contractor to provide labor, material, transportation, tools, equipment and supervision to perform a complete refinishing of the O'Hara Hall gymnasium floor located at the USMMA, 300 Steamboat Road Kings Point, NY 11024-1699. Tasks will include sanding the existing floor down to the wood surface, minor repair work, repainting lines, playing areas and logos, and finishing the floor with a high gloss urethane coating. Area is approximately 18,000 square feet. See the attached 41 page solicitation amended on 8-18-2017 and it includes SF1449, Statement of Work, and picture/drawing of the Gym Floor. Proposals must be received by 5:00 pm on August 25, 2017 and must be emailed to the primary contracting officer referenced in this solicitation.
