Description
This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential Small Business prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 335312 (power generators manufacturing). The Government is requesting that responsible sources respond if it can provide the following items on a brand name or equal basis: Item No. Description Qty 0001 2000 Watt Flex Fuel Generator 2 EA 0002 Service sustainment kit (2000 hours) 2 EA Characteristics of the above items are: Must have a peak power of 2000 watts and a nominal operating output of 1200 watts, be able to operate in temperature ranges from -20 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius, be able to connect to extended run fuel tanks and have all required adapters to do so, be able to be paralleled with another 2000 watt generator and have required adapters to do so when higher wattage is needed, have a minimum of 2 AC outlets and also have a DC output, tan in color, have a deployable weatherproof transit case capable of carrying generator and supporting sustainment equipment which must be tan in color, have operator manual, battery operated carbon monoxide detector and load tester, and have a noise max operating range between 51-62 dBA at 7m. Sustainment kit should enable operator to service generator and include all required tools and service equipment to sustain generator operations for 2000 hours. Interested Small Businesses are required to submit an e-mail describing: 1. Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; 2. Business size/Socioeconomic status; and 3. If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 335312 and the small business size standard is 1,250 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Chigbo Nzoiwu at chigbo.o.nzoiwu.mil@mail.mil. The information requested must be received no later than 09:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on Thursday, August 24th, 2017.
