Description

PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS NOTICE: ***ATTENTION: Previously related FedBizOpps postings for this acquisition were posted with the number W9113M17T0001, however, the new number is W31P4Q17Q0114.*** The Government anticipates issuing a sole source Request for Quotation (RFQ) W31P4Q17Q0114 for the 5 WATS Wi-Fi chip that includes integrated antenna prototypes and which will employ a FIPS 140-2 certified Wi-Fi radio to Redpine Signals, Inc., CAGE code: 7RKC8, 2107 North First Street, Suite #540, San Jose CA 95131. The Period of Performance (POP) for the anticipated purchase order shall be for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase order award. The contract consists of firm fixed price effort. The Government anticipates award of one single contract from the issuance of this solicitation. The Government previously posted information to industry regarding this requirement on FedBizOpps with reference to solicitation number "W9113M17T0001" via a sources sought notice on 12 July 2017 with one subsequent amendment on 18 July 2017. The RFQ, including all solicitation requirements, will supersede all previously posted draft documents in their entirety. This PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS NOTICE is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal RFQ. Following the release of an official solicitation, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Government. This PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS NOTICE is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation and does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation, nor will the Government be liable for costs involved in submission of information in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government anticipates release of an official solicitation on or about 1 September 2017.
